From the reviews
I’ve been consistently working out for well over a dozen years. Throughout that time, I have tried various workouts to find what works best for me. My search is over lol! Coach Ricky’s HIIT workouts are not only effective, it’s fun AND you’re learning boxing skills simultaneously.
KickFitness has changed my life in so many ways! Ricky has changed the way I feel about working out. I’m motivated to come to his classes throughout the week. He incorporates heavy bag work (kicking, punching, elbows and knees), cardio and light weights. Each class is small and you get one on one attention.
Kickfitness is an amazing, kickass workout. One class and you’ll be addicted. The head coach Ricky is amazing, he modifies the workouts based on ability and makes sure everyone is getting the best workout they can. If you’re looking for something different to help you get in shape, I highly recommend KickFitness.
Fun and motivating workouts! Coach Ricky is great at encouraging his students to keep pushing through the workouts. He also provides modifications if needed without sacrificing a great workout. You can never forget your specific goals with Ricky and you’re given tons of support to get there.
Your first kickboxing class at KICKFITNESS Soflo
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
