From the reviews

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Audacious Muay Thai that I can’t say enough good things about them. My son started Muay Thai last year, and from day one the entire team has been incredible. All of the coaches are amazing with kids, and the facility is always clean, welcoming, and well-maintained.

We love Audacious Muay Thai! Coach Pete is amazing! Our 17 year old has been attending for 3 months. This is the real deal, high level training. The coaches are kind and patient, but no-nonsense and pretty hard core.

★★★★★ — Jennifer, Nov 2024

This is the place to be for martial arts! My 13 year old grandson tried 2 other places prior to coming here. Out of the 3 martial art schools, Audacious Muay Thai Academy is by far superior to the others. Coach Pete and Coach Izzy are very committed to teaching the students and they do it well.

★★★★★ — Thomas, Feb 2025

New to kickboxing? Start at Audacious Muay Thai Academy

Audacious Muay Thai Academy comes up as a beginner-friendly gym — noted on their own site. If you've never thrown a punch or a kick, that's exactly who a good beginners class is for. A few things worth knowing before your first week. First, you don't need to be fit or coordinated to start — you get in shape by training, not before it, and coaches scale every drill to you. Second, you won't be thrown into hard sparring — reputable gyms build the basics (stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads and bags) first, and any contact eases in gradually under a coach's control. Third, all fitness levels really are welcome — ask about a dedicated beginners or fundamentals class time so your first session is alongside others who are also starting out. Most gyms are happy to let you watch or try a class first, so reach out before you commit.

Your first kickboxing class at Audacious Muay Thai Academy

Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.

Kickboxing is a contact sport. Warm up, pace yourself, listen to your coaches, and if you have any injuries or health concerns, mention them before class and check with a doctor if you're unsure.
