From the reviews
I started taking classes @Rondeau’s Kickboxing a little over a month ago. This is by far the best gym out there. If you’re looking for a gym with good people that are friendly and welcoming and a workout that will challenge your limits, this is definitely the gym for you. Becky’s and Trisha’s classes are awesome!
It is my 2nd week. I feel like I'm getting the hard workout I was asking for. I feel like they understand it's been awhile since I've done any martial arts and have some limitations with my lower body. Christina comes around the class and give me some positive extra reinforcement, which is helpful.
Whether you jump into a class or try the circuit training, both are a blast and a serious workout. The instructors are always there to guide you, making sure you’re learning proper form while keeping the energy high. They’re super motivating, and even as a beginner, I felt totally welcome and supported from day one.
My son began his classes as a shy unsure of himself teen. He has grown into a more confident mentally and physically strong person. The level of interest they show in each child is impressive as well as the team spirit that they enforce in addition to individual building up. It's like a family with all of the staff.
Your first kickboxing class at Rondeau's Kickboxing and Fitness
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
