From the reviews
Martial Arts World has changed my entire families lives. It offers daycare, and summer camp, all while keeping your kids active and earning a black belt. In 2 months, we will have 1 black belt in the family. Within the next 2 yrs, we will surely have 3, possibly 4, as both my kids and both parents take Martial Arts.
My children just had their first class here tonight and I can say this place is excellent definitely 5 stars. If the other students are an example of what my child will learn in this class then I will be beyond pleased. My girls are 4 and 11 and the class caters to both their needs.
I can’t overstate how much Martial Arts World has impacted my family. We initially came here out of necessity after our previous after-school program fell through, and I’ll admit I was hesitant—I wasn't sure how a martial arts setting would compare to traditional daycare.
My son has been going to this facility for quite a few years. The price is fair, the staff is absolutely amazing, the owner herself has the biggest heart and is one of the most humble and welcoming people you will ever meet. She is always wiling to answer questions and she is extremely professional about it.
Your first kickboxing class at Martial Arts World Glen Allen
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
