The classes they run
“My son’s been training here for several months and has made massive improvements in not only his skills on the Mat, but also his behavior towards his peers.”
“There’s beginner to advanced classes with wonderful teachers so I would recommend this gym to anyone interested in martial arts.”
“The owner will have it in automation (very unethical and the 2-3 amateur fighters they have are just for marketing purposes) High altitude has world class fighters.”
“Parents got tired of that skinny young super hyper kid running around everywhere so they handed me to a boxing Coach.”
“So many families, young adults, older adults, teens, kids.”

What members say
“The owner of the gym is a former professional fighter who now trains pro fighters, regularly jumps in to teach the youth classes.”
“The atmosphere is very welcoming and each coach wants to see you get better and you can come in no matter what skill level you are.”
“Whether you are looking for a kids program, are a middle aged hobbyist like myself, an aspiring professional, or already a pro they got you covered.”

“It's also always really clean, which I appreciate especially because of the high, dense traffic and how large the mats and cage are - there's plenty of space for everyone.”
“I pay the monthly fee happily cuz it is worth every penny and they probably are tired of how many times I attend 😂 These guys are very humble and highly motivational.”
From the reviews
So after a couple months of sampling the secret sauce at High Altitude Martial Arts and I'm ready to leave my highly critical, no holds barred review. First and most importantly, the kids program is epic.
Over the past 3 years, HAMA has become my kids second home and the coaches of the youth BJJ and Kickboxing program are our family. The youth and adult coaches are far more than their world class fighting resumes, they are amazing and supportive people. You will get as much out of HAMA as you are willing to invest.
There are levels to martial arts academies and High Altitude is just on another level. I have trained at a number of schools on the east coast and none offer what they do. Whether you are looking for a kids program, are a middle aged hobbyist like myself, an aspiring professional, or already a pro they got you covered.
After training martial arts in Denver for over a decade. High altitude is one of the most legit ones. All the coaches are super experienced and knowledgeable. It’s the man in the arena. Most of the other gyms rely on systems and marketing to keep the gym running.
New to kickboxing? Start at High Altitude Martial Arts
High Altitude Martial Arts comes up as a beginner-friendly gym — noted on their own site. If you've never thrown a punch or a kick, that's exactly who a good beginners class is for. A few things worth knowing before your first week. First, you don't need to be fit or coordinated to start — you get in shape by training, not before it, and coaches scale every drill to you. Second, you won't be thrown into hard sparring — reputable gyms build the basics (stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads and bags) first, and any contact eases in gradually under a coach's control. Third, all fitness levels really are welcome — ask about a dedicated beginners or fundamentals class time so your first session is alongside others who are also starting out. Most gyms are happy to let you watch or try a class first, so reach out before you commit.
Your first kickboxing class at High Altitude Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
