The classes they run
“Also having no mma experience at all I really enjoyed the muy thai kickboxing classes (learned how to kick finally) that were just a whole new type of workout for me.”
“We like it very much because The kids get to practice with the skills they learn during the last 10 minutes of the class and it is very helpful for them to retain what they learn.”
“Team GAMMA combines credible and usable technique, with a humble attitude that always honors the beginner.”
“However, the coach has asked frequently if I would like further training on mitts, sparring, bag work, etc after practice.”
“If you have plans of becoming a martial arts athlete or competitor, you can't pick a better place to start at, or even further discover your journey at.”
“As a striker, specifically a competing amateur boxer, this gym's equipment may not be the most ideal.”

From the reviews
I have trained at a lot of gyms spanning my fighting career. Technical knowledge is one of the hardest things to translate to students. Never at any moment have I ever felt at this gym that I was not getting better with each and every session I attended.
As a traveler I have been to many schools, I can easily say this is an excellent one. Great people who are always looking to elevate and challenge each others game. Jay is a fantastic teacher who had no shortage of patience and skill, he was also always willing to roll with anyone.
Four heavy bags. One double end bag. And a jijustu rolling map. As a striker, specifically a competing amateur boxer, this gym's equipment may not be the most ideal. Of course, there are tons of boxing bags at Tier 1 or the local Title Boxing gym (i.e. local boxing gyms).
i started with coach speight when i was going on 9yrs old my grandma came to me and asked if i wanted to learn martial arts i thought i love martial arts movies so why not plus i was kind of a bullied kid in school so that was another reason so i meet coach speight and his son they made me feel comfortable cuz i was a…
New to kickboxing? Start at AAMAA Greenville Academy Mixed Martial Arts TEAM GAMMA
AAMAA Greenville Academy Mixed Martial Arts TEAM GAMMA comes up as a beginner-friendly gym, going by their listing and members’ reviews. If you've never thrown a punch or a kick, that's exactly who a good beginners class is for. A few things worth knowing before your first week. First, you don't need to be fit or coordinated to start — you get in shape by training, not before it, and coaches scale every drill to you. Second, you won't be thrown into hard sparring — reputable gyms build the basics (stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads and bags) first, and any contact eases in gradually under a coach's control. Third, all fitness levels really are welcome — ask about a dedicated beginners or fundamentals class time so your first session is alongside others who are also starting out. Most gyms are happy to let you watch or try a class first, so reach out before you commit.
Your first kickboxing class at AAMAA Greenville Academy Mixed Martial Arts TEAM GAMMA
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
