From the reviews
I knew I needed to jump start my fitness because I had gotten into a rut with my workouts and my diet wasn’t the best. I had always liked Kickboxing but hadn’t done it in a long time. Joining ST3 was the best decision I ever made. My goals were to lose weight and eat healthier.
I started at ST3 about 2 months ago and absolutely love it. The staff is friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Ths classes are well structured and easily modified for your fitness level. Even the other members are encouraging, and it really feels like a community.
I had always worked out at my house or ran outside, but I knew that I needed to try something new. A friend told me about ST3. I signed up for an introductory week and 10 months later I'm still there. It's energizing and fun and I have NEVER looked forward to working up a sweat like I do now.
I have been attending ST3 for a year now for personal training. Shira is amazing. Always ready to give me a great workout, always professional but also very friendly and supportive. She is so knowledgable about health and fitness and I would say mind and spirit as well. I am always uplifted when our work outs are done.
Your first kickboxing class at ST3 Kickboxing and Fitness
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
