From the reviews
We absolutely love PMA! My son Oliver (7yo) has been at PMA for a few months now. His progress has been amazing in such a short time. Not only in martial art skills, but he’s also more confident and disciplined. The instructors are all very knowledgeable, respectful, and treat everyone like family.
My son Kaleb has been in Premier since he was 3 years old and now he is six. He has learned self-confidence, respect, responsibility, just being a good kid. He absolutely loves his karate class. He was very timid and hardly spoke. He is more social then me (his mother). He makes friends with a rock.
My children have been coming here for many years. Most of the kids on our street also go to Premier. Whether it be the amazing classes, the fun after school activities, the spring & summer camps- my kids always love going! Everyone who works there is amazing with the kids.
Great school. I have learned and progressed so much in the past year of training. It’s a tight knit community with great individuals and instructors that teach you legitimate self defenses and all the tools you need to become a great fighter and compete at a high level.
Your first kickboxing class at Premier Martial Arts - Pembroke Pines
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
