From the reviews
I am very happy with the instructors and the training being provided to my son at this location.
We've been with this studio since they opened, and PMA total for more than 4 years. We followed Dante to this studio. I can't say enough positive things about this studio, the instructors (Dante and Ryan), and Sean, the proprietor.
This is a Great location!! They have a great program!! The owners have done an amazing job at keeping the facility clean and energy high. They treat everyone like family.
PMA Lewisville/Colony has been apart of our family for 4 years and 2 sons. Both have developed in their martial arts skills but most importantly their character, discipline, perseverance and overall development as young men.
New to kickboxing? Start at Premier Martial Arts Lewisville/Castle Hills
Premier Martial Arts Lewisville/Castle Hills comes up as a beginner-friendly gym — noted on their own site. If you've never thrown a punch or a kick, that's exactly who a good beginners class is for. A few things worth knowing before your first week. First, you don't need to be fit or coordinated to start — you get in shape by training, not before it, and coaches scale every drill to you. Second, you won't be thrown into hard sparring — reputable gyms build the basics (stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads and bags) first, and any contact eases in gradually under a coach's control. Third, all fitness levels really are welcome — ask about a dedicated beginners or fundamentals class time so your first session is alongside others who are also starting out. Most gyms are happy to let you watch or try a class first, so reach out before you commit.
Your first kickboxing class at Premier Martial Arts Lewisville/Castle Hills
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
