From the reviews
The owners and staff are amazing! They really care about their students and want them to succeed. They don’t just teach martial arts; they also teach life skill lessons such as self control, perseverance, honesty etc.
Our 8 year old daughter wanted to try karate and we were new to the area so we started her in January and she LOVES it! You pick the days/times that work best for your and your family and they learn so much more than just the kicks and the punches. They learn respect and responsibility and so much more.
My first class at I Love Kickboxing Gonzales was about 2 years ago. I signed up for the class through a local groupon with a friend. She insisted that I would not regret it. After that first class, I made a personal goal for myself, to Be Fit by 40! I just turned 40 this year and do not regret signing up!
I recently signed up for the 5 class kickboxing special and I'm glad I did... This is the best work out. There are so many classes to choose from and you will work out with so many awesome people!!!

Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
