From the reviews
Strike Fitness and their excellent coaches have been a tremendous Influence in improving my health and immunity. The fun environment and recently added technology have made this fitness routine easy to stick to. The core strengthening using boxing fundamentals and conditioning have made me stronger and healthier.
As with anything, being new can be intimidating. However, Mark (Strike Fitness, GM) goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. He helped me learn the basics (wrapping my hands and basic techniques to prepare me for class) and I have a seen him do it consistently since I have started.
I enjoyed my first workout to the point of joining the club on the same day. The trainers are top notch and very motivational. The workouts are intense and they gently push everyone to give it their very best. I have toned considerably in just few weeks. I actually crave going there.
Strike Fitness is an amazing place to maximize your workouts, and push yourself farther than you ever thought you could go. The classes are the perfect mix of cardio and strength training, and they will leave you dripping in sweat. All the coaches have diversified experience, and all know how to run a great class.
Your first kickboxing class at Clarke’s MMA & Boxing/ Valhalla Fight Team
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
