From the reviews
My experience with Baton Rouge Krav Maga has been nothing but great. The staff will take the time to explain every part of the process, whether that is weight loss or muscle building. I was able to put on 11 pounds of muscle in 6 weeks, and the HIIT style workouts were the reason I stayed lean during those weeks.
I went in because I kept seeing their ads. I had not worked out consistently in a couple of years. I was given a free 3 day trial and the workout was intense. I signed up. What happened 6 weeks later was a 31 lb weight loss. I beat the challenge by 6 lbs. The team supported me online, text, and in person on my journey.
Wonderful instructors, welcoming and safe environment, great students. The atmosphere can't help but get you excited to begin your classes. Loud music as the instructors encourage you to keep going even when you're dog tired. Realistic application and pressure testing during Krav classes.
I love instructor Nick.. Not only is the staff very welcoming but Nick is very encouraging and pushes you to keep going even when you want to stop. He even shows you how to modify some of the exercises if you can't quite keep up.
Your first kickboxing class at Baton Rouge Krav Maga & Fitness, LLC
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
