From the reviews
I started 9ROUND in February and haven't looked back! Not only have I lost weight, gotten stronger, and gained confidence, but I have also met some awesome people.
Great location and setup! The charm and privacy are only eclipsed by the equipment and technology available for any and all necessary workouts. The HIIT (high intensity interval training) stations, simulating various rounds of kickboxing, are engaging and challenging for all different levels.
9 rounds is an incredible gym. The most significant perk is its 24/7 availability. You don’t have to guess what kind of workout you want to do. They offer daily guided workouts on a screen and there are free weights which allows you to extend your workout from the normal intense 30 minutes.
If you're looking for a light hearted, fun atmosphere with workouts designed to make you the best version of you, look no further than this location. Kickboxing is a major stress outlet.
New to kickboxing? Start at 9Round Kickboxing Fitness
9Round Kickboxing Fitness comes up as a beginner-friendly gym — noted on their own site. If you've never thrown a punch or a kick, that's exactly who a good beginners class is for. A few things worth knowing before your first week. First, you don't need to be fit or coordinated to start — you get in shape by training, not before it, and coaches scale every drill to you. Second, you won't be thrown into hard sparring — reputable gyms build the basics (stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads and bags) first, and any contact eases in gradually under a coach's control. Third, all fitness levels really are welcome — ask about a dedicated beginners or fundamentals class time so your first session is alongside others who are also starting out. Most gyms are happy to let you watch or try a class first, so reach out before you commit.
Your first kickboxing class at 9Round Kickboxing Fitness
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
