From the reviews
My experience with 5 Star Boxing and Fitness has been nothing short of Amazing. As the name suggests, the gym offers two distinct paths: boxing and fitness — and it excels at both.
Great environment everyone is like family here. Coach Greg Wright is the head coach. Coach Ali is great with the kids andCoach Mike. Whether you coming in just for fitness or you want to compete and go pro this is the place to be. I came in with my 2 boys and wanted to show them what boxing is.
I love this gym! I joined shortly after it opened and it's one of the best things I have ever done for myself. My son recently started the youth fitness program. He went from a kid who could barely finish a push up to a kid who looks forward to going to the gym every week.
We’ve been coming to 5 Star Boxing for over two years, and my kids absolutely love it. Coach Greg is amazing—not only does he teach them how to exercise and get stronger, but he’s also a great mentor. Since starting at 5 Star Boxing, my kids’ confidence has increased so much. We couldn’t be happier with the experience!
Your first kickboxing class at 5Star Boxing and Fitness
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
