I’m a preschool teacher and met Sifu Vitaly 11 years ago when he taught martial arts at our school. Students loved in him and his karate classes. Sifu is very professional and passionate about the martial arts he teaches. I'm really happy about his new school, Vital Martial Arts Academy.
Vital is a great teacher. He has an amazing ability to motivate and encourage his students in a positive manner. He is a kind and dedicated to getting his students to reach their full potential. Being in his wushu class has improved my daughter’s endurance, strength, flexibility and most of all confidence.
We first joined Vital Martial Arts Academy for their summer camp - our 10 year old had a fantastic time. Vital is such a kind and caring teacher who engages the kids with so many fun activities that they don't want to leave at the end of the day!
My 4 year old just started classes here and she loves it. Sifu Vitaly is very warm and patient and I can see that the kids here love him. I wanted my daughter to do martial arts to improve her body awareness, coordination, listening skills, discipline, confidence and willingness to push herself and I can see she is…
Your first kickboxing class at Vital Martial Arts Academy | Summer Camp
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
