From the reviews
Great environment and great coaching. Ray is one of my closest friends and his love for wrestling is what makes this club. I tell wrestlers to get work here all the time because not only is he a good coach, but a good person. He is serious about getting better and is a hard working dedicated coach!
I started wrestling with no experience in August 2023 and 2 years later I’m currently ranked #2 in Floridas 190 weight class none of that would be possible without coach ray Lugos guidance and wisdom, if your willing to work hard and want to be great come here
Ray not only is a great coach but brings the community together. I’ve also been able to see the improvements in both understanding and applying the technique’s he’s taught. Highly Recommended you come train with him.
LWC has improved my sons skills in a very short amount of time, the fastest he has ever gotten before. I am truly grateful to coach ray for all the hours put in to making my son the best wrestler he can be.
Your first kickboxing class at LP MMA & Lugo Wrestling Club
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
