“Coach Pat and Coach Dorine are the best coaches I’ve ever had.”
From the reviews
I’m based in San Jose, but I’m more than happy to make the drive to Gilroy for this gym. I’ve been following Coach Pat for years, and his coaching is absolutely worth the distance. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely cares about his students.
Coach Pat and Dorine are one of the best!!! Great coaches, when you come you come for a hell of a workout! They are such great people as well! Have gotten to know them the last two years and I’m so happy for this new gym! Best of luck guys 🥊
Coach Pat and Coach Dorine are the best coaches I’ve ever had. 2 years of taking their class 1-2 times a week and I am in the best shape of my life with a new skill unlocked.
Your first kickboxing class at The Train Station Cardio Kickboxing
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
