From the reviews
I took the beginner class and had a really good time everyone super friendly. I would definitely recommend to anyone trying to learn self-defense.
Such a great community! Everyone is always encouraging and supportive of each other - no matter your skill level. You can tell that every instructor genuinely wants to help each student grow.
I joined a little over a month ago and my experience has been great! The instructors and staff are very knowledgeable and patient and this especially important for a slow learner like me. The facility is very clean and signing up/signing into class is a breeze.
KravMaga Unleashed is an awesome facility. Pietro knows what he is doing and loves it. Will make you sweat from the moment you get started. The gym itself is kept clean and it shows every time you step in, super important given the current climate. Give this place a try.
New to kickboxing? Start at Krav Maga Unleashed
Krav Maga Unleashed comes up as a beginner-friendly gym — noted on their own site. If you've never thrown a punch or a kick, that's exactly who a good beginners class is for. A few things worth knowing before your first week. First, you don't need to be fit or coordinated to start — you get in shape by training, not before it, and coaches scale every drill to you. Second, you won't be thrown into hard sparring — reputable gyms build the basics (stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads and bags) first, and any contact eases in gradually under a coach's control. Third, all fitness levels really are welcome — ask about a dedicated beginners or fundamentals class time so your first session is alongside others who are also starting out. Most gyms are happy to let you watch or try a class first, so reach out before you commit.
Your first kickboxing class at Krav Maga Unleashed
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
