From the reviews
The facility and atmosphere are both great and the instructors are very knowledgeable, encouraging, and push you past the limits you have set for yourself. You will leave every class with a great sense of accomplishment. I really enjoy the kickboxing classes.
Niko is a wonderful trainer and 5Elements is a wonderful gym. I have been training at 5E for over 5 years now and continue to learn and thrive. Each session, each kick boxing class is different and exciting. I am always 100% engaged in the work because SIFU would have it no other way.
Sifu has been a great way about going through training and getting better. I love that he cares about his clients and does not always do the same workouts over and over. Mixing in functional movement, boxing, or Tai Chi is always a good way to bring the whole body to the next level.
Love this place! Don’t be intimidated-I am an overweight, middle aged woman and I love coming here! You will get a great workout. Sigh Nick will help you with any needs or problem areas you might have. You will also laugh the entire time! Come check it out!!
Your first kickboxing class at 5 Elements Fitness
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
