From the reviews
Brady was awesome to work with and all of the people that go to the classes are really great! They collectively taught me boxing from the ground up and were so patient and helpful. I’m moving out of state and one of the things I will miss the most is this boxing gym!
I truly can’t say enough good things about this gym! Since starting the boxing and kickboxing program, my mental health has improved tremendously, my anxiety has decreased, and I’ve lost weight while getting stronger and more toned.
My son (5) has been in the kids boxing class for just over a year and he loves it. The owner Brady and his team are great with all ages of kids, I cannot say enough how much they have helped my son grow in his time here. I can't wait until my other kids are old enough to join as well!
Dropped in while visiting for work and had a great time. Class was great, mats were clean, and everyone was laid back. Easton and Devin showed some cool techniques. I’ll be back next time I’m in town, thanks again for having me!
Your first kickboxing class at Diesel's Counter Punch MMA & Fitness
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
