From the reviews
This is my daughter's first time in martial arts. She was hesitant to go, but the instructors made her feel comfortable and at ease. She is very excited to go to class. Sensei Reace and Sensei Dominic are really great with the kids. She is learning discipline, respect, and accountability.
If I could give D3 Martial Arts more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! From day one, we have been beyond impressed with not only the skills being taught, but the confidence they help build in every child who walks through their doors. The instructors at D3 Martial Arts are truly something special.
Our son Hunter was enrolled in classes at D3 for almost two years. They care about the students and have a laid back atmosphere. Sensei Reese and Sensei Amelia taught the class Hunter was in they are great and you can tell they love what they do.
My two children started going here October of last year for a trial not sure of what to expect and they couldn’t be happier. D3 isn’t just a place where you go for classes twice a week, it really has created a positive community-like environment with the extra perks of getting taught valuable lessons.
Your first kickboxing class at D3 Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
