From the reviews
I highly recommend US Martial Arts to anyone looking to improve self-discipline, focus, self-respect and respect for others, confidence, and self- defense. Master Bai is a great role model and teacher. His mastery of taekwondo is phenomenal and his kindness and care show for every class.
I studied under Grandmaster Bai and Master Soo when they were located in maryland...and I still have fond memories of training under their masterful guidance. I was even fortunate enough to be an instructor of a youth class. If you are interested In studying the Martial arts...this is the place to go.
This place has changed my life forever because you get to practice discipline and respect for others and yourself. I started when I was five years old and now I will be turning 14 this year. When I first started, Master Bai and Grand-Master Bai would teach me techniques and tae kwon do in a serious yet fun way.
Master Bai is the owner and a 9th Degree Black Belt. He is great with the kids and adults that take Taekwondo instruction from him. This is not a belt mill type of studio. This is a place where kids as young as 5 and adults as old as 60 can learn fitness, agility, balance, focus, integrity, and self defense.
Your first kickboxing class at US Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
