From the reviews
My son has been coming Champion for over two years now and has thoroughly enjoyed Mr. Tony's and Mr. Korey's tutoring. A relaxed atmosphere that still pushes him to do better on his own, while helping him when he's not getting a technique. (worth the 30 minute drive).
My 7 year old son has been coming here since October of last year and he loves it. This really helped boost his confidence and he looks forward to coming to every class! The instructors are phenomenal.
Tony has been my trainer for over 7 ½ years. I was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease about 4 months before I started my training. I was told by my neurologist that exercise, especially non-contact boxing helps minimize the symptoms for Parkinsons patients.
I have been a student of Champion Karate for over 4 years and it has been an Amazing learning experience for me. I am also still a student of Mr. Tony and he is an Awesome instructor, mentor, teacher, and friend. I would highly recommend anyone straight to him for a Martial Arts Class.
Your first kickboxing class at Champion Karate & Kickboxing
Nervous about walking into a kickboxing gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics — stance, footwork, and punches and kicks on pads or a heavy bag — not hard sparring. Go at your own pace and rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: comfortable athletic clothes you can move and sweat in, and supportive trainers. What to bring: water, and hand wraps and gloves if you have them — many gyms lend loaner gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves and wraps (and shin guards once you start sparring). Sparring is optional and eases in gradually, once your basics are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
